Cinematic Section Recruitment Guidelines

Welcome to the Cinematic Section recruitment process! We're excited to see your creative talents and passion for filmmaking. Below are the instructions and tasks for each vertical.

General Information

• Application Open: August 24th
• Application Deadline: August 27, 11:59 p.m.
• Interview Period (tentative) : August 29-31

Recruitment Process

1. Task Submission: Complete and submit the tasks for your chosen vertical(s)
2. Submission Review: Our team will review your submissions
3. Interview: Selected candidates will be called for an interview
4. Final Selection: Based on task quality and interview performance

Scriptwriting Vertical

Task Requirements (Attempt any one):

• Mix the universes of two of your favorite movies and write a crossover scene. (Make Baburao go to Hogwarts or let Forrest Gump meet Jadu from Koi Mil Gaya, go crazy).

• Write a script in continuation of the following:

  INT. DARK ROOM — NO SENSE OF TIME: Akash’s face is lit by the light coming from his laptop screen. His eyebrows are scrunched up and there are beads of sweat on his forehead. His hand is over the mouse and he closes his eyes tightly as he finally clicks the button…

• Write a scene with only dialogues between

   1. A couple who is about to take a divorce
  
   2. Parents and a child who has just found out that they are adopted.

Read the screenplay of one of your favorite movies and write a short (500 words) write up, analyzing the various aspects of it — what you liked, what you learnt.
